Thompson Engineering’s leadership team dedicates time and energy towards our healthy organization, and that starts with investing in our team members. We have a full-time Chief Heart Officer on staff, whose sole purpose is to focus on the personal development of each individual employee. We host quarterly check-ins which set the foundation for positive employee-manager relationships as well as foster our feedback-based culture which goes both ways. We cover a wide range of topics from progress, goals, mentorship, and employee well-being.
We also celebrate…a lot! This is a fast-paced industry and we are committed to slowing down and celebrating the wins. Every month we host a family-style cookout, and we share our personal and professional accomplishments. Our office also comes furnished with a gong that team members get to ring each time they complete a project. Our get-togethers are legendary and something everyone looks forward to, but more importantly, we genuinely care for and want to spend time with one another.
One of my favorite things about working at Thompson is the collaborative atmosphere. I think everyone on this team is that kid from the school group project that you loved having on your team because you knew they would do more than their fair share and everything they did was great. Everyone pulls each other up the way a family does, and it is easy to feel supported and a part of the group.
