We are proud to have embarked on a collaborative mission to support the new construction of a Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Aurora, Colorado. This visionary project serves as a tribute to the distinguished legacy of Lieutenant Colonel John W. Mosley, honoring his contributions and dedication to our nation. “His commitment to serving his nation and our community in the face of discrimination is an inspiration and reminder to us all that the promise of this country is in those who are determined to improve our imperfections. We are forever grateful for his service to this country and it is an honor to introduce legislation to name the new Aurora VA facility after LTC Mosley.” says Rep. Jason Crow.

The clinic is designed to enhance healthcare accessibility for veterans in the region, ensuring they receive the quality care they deserve. Spanning 30,000 square feet, the medical office building is situated on a 4.6-acre site, incorporating thoughtful design elements that promote efficiency, durability, and patient comfort.

Key sitework components include the development of a 146-space parking lot, essential utility connections, and carefully planned landscaping to complement the facility’s surroundings. The building itself is constructed with a shallow concrete foundation and a robust steel structure, integrated with light gauge metal framing to ensure long-term stability and resilience.

The building recently celebrated its ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking a significant milestone in providing essential healthcare services to veterans. Our team played a crucial role in the mechanical and plumbing design of the facility, ensuring optimal performance and sustainability. The mechanical systems are designed to provide efficient climate control and ventilation, meeting the high standards required for a medical facility. Advanced plumbing solutions were implemented to support the clinic’s specialized healthcare functions, including medical gas, water efficiency measures, and sanitary waste systems.

With construction now completed, this project reflects our unwavering commitment to engineering solutions that serve communities and make a lasting impact. “Never discouraged by adversity, he often said that ‘he had to fight in order to fight.’ A pilot with the famed Tuskegee Airmen, he served his country with pride and distinction through three wars and continued his service after retiring from the military. Always in our hearts, he was and continues to be a champion for our family, our community and our nation.
