Role Description: The Senior Project Engineer should be able to independently identify and manage the project engineering requirements for any Thompson Engineering project. They will be expected to work and communicate within multiple teams including external teams. They must be self-sufficient, yet able to take direction when given, and execute. The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for ensuring compliance, timely delivery and exceptional communication with clients and partners.
Job Responsibilities:
Including but not limited to:
• Reports to the Senior Project Manager or PM-II
• Attends meetings/calls with the Senior Project Manager or PM-II
• Assist project manager to ensure there are backgrounds and other critical information required to start project setup and calculations
• Provide narrative for add service to be written and approved by Project Manager
• Performing all fundamental calculations as required for each project type, to be reviewed by Project Manager (such as load calculations, ventilation calculations, water tap calculations, etc.)
• Updating backgrounds when new floor plans come in and coordinate all revisions with Project Manager
• Take on smaller project designs, working closely with the Project Manager
• External communication with clients
