Harley Davidson

Harley-Davidson was founded in 1903 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, by William S. Harley and Arthur Davidson, along with Arthur’s brothers, William A. and Walter Davidson. The company initially started as a small workshop, producing motorcycles in a small factory.

In the early years, Harley-Davidson focused on innovation and quality, producing reliable and powerful motorcycles. The first Harley-Davidson motorcycle was a small engine-powered bike, but the company soon expanded its offerings to include larger displacement motorcycles, establishing a reputation for performance and durability.

Over the years, Harley-Davidson introduced a wide range of iconic motorcycle models that have become synonymous with the brand’s identity. This includes the famous “Hog” models like the Harley-Davidson Sportster, Softail, Touring, and Dyna, which have become iconic symbols of American motorcycle culture. Harley-Davidson motorcycles have become more than just a mode of transportation; they have also become a cultural icon. Harley-Davidson has a dedicated following of passionate riders who identify with the brand’s values of freedom, adventure, and individuality. The Harley-Davidson lifestyle and community have become an integral part of motorcycle culture, with numerous events, rallies, and gatherings taking place worldwide.

Nestled against the breathtaking backdrop of the Rocky Mountains, Avalanche Harley-Davidson of Golden is a destination for motorcycle enthusiasts and visitors alike. As soon as you step foot into the dealership, you’re greeted by the unmistakable rumble of Harley-Davidson motorcycles and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that’s designed for riders to connect, share stories, and indulge in their passion for these iconic machines. The dealership also offers an extensive variety of new and pre-owned motorcycles as well as a range of services to keep your Harley-Davidson running smoothly and looking its best. Their certified technicians provide expert maintenance and repairs, using genuine Harley-Davidson parts to ensure your bike is in top condition. In addition to the exceptional inventory and services, Avalanche Harley-Davidson of Golden also hosts regular events and activities for the Harley-Davidson community. From group rides and poker runs to charity events and bike nights, there’s always something happening at the dealership that brings riders together and fosters a sense of camaraderie among fellow Harley-Davidson enthusiasts.

Beyond the dealership, Golden, Colorado, is an ideal location for Harley-Davidson riders to explore and enjoy the open road. The town is located at the gateway to the Rocky Mountains, offering breathtaking mountain vistas, winding roads, and stunning scenery that’s perfect for motorcycle rides. You can take a leisurely cruise along the picturesque Clear Creek Canyon or head out on an epic adventure to conquer famous mountain passes like the legendary Mount Evans or Trail Ridge Road. Golden is also home to a vibrant motorcycle culture, with various events, rallies, and meetups taking place throughout the year, making it a hub for motorcycle enthusiasts in the region.

With an idyllic location like Golden, Colorado and a reputation like Harley-Davidson, our team knew we needed to deliver on this mechanical and plumbing design for the Avalanch Harley-Davidson location. We needed to optimize the sales and service space and enhance the brand and customer experience while keeping safety and accessibility as a top priority. Our team designed a two-story 64,000 square-foot dealership that incorporated 3,700 square feet dedicated to office space, 8,300 square feet for motorcycle maintenance and the impressive remaining 52,000 for showroom and storage.

Harley-Davidson has a rich and storied history that spans over a century, with a legacy of producing legendary motorcycles, racing successes, cultural impact, and a passionate rider community. It continues to be a prominent player in the motorcycle industry, embodying the spirit of American motorcycling and capturing the hearts of motorcycle enthusiasts around the world. We are proud and honored to have designed the mechanical and plumbing designs for the #1 dealer of Harley-Davidson in the entire state of Colorado and a brand that paved the way for motorcycle culture.
